15 Different People Icon sets for Designers
A few days back I visited my bank for some financial matters. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had done a complete redesign of their infrastructure. But the most striking thing for me was that they had matched the color of their seat covers, curtains and the boundary of wallpapers with exactly to the color of their logo. This is a classic example of theme.
In order to display professionalism and quality in your business you must use a particular theme. By a theme I mean that you should use the same shade of colors, the same company logo, the same font of text, the same types of icons, etc. throughout on your website. Presently let’s focus on this last part – icons.
You might have noticed that the cartoon characters of the Spider-Man comic appear different from the Bat-Man one. The reason is that two different artists have drawn the cartoons for each comic books. The point I want to make is that the complete cartoons of one comic bear some resemblance with all others of the same comic book. If the publishers would have changed the cartoonist half way in between, then the first half of the cartoon characters would have looked markedly different from the latter half and that would have looked quite unprofessional. Similar is the case with websites. If you use one style of icons in one place and then a different style in another place then that would make for a poor design.
